The Myth of Climate Control (repost and expanded)

Preliminary point

Recently I was listening to the latest news on the climate change and how it went from being "global warming"  to "global boiling"  status.  And it got me thinking somewhat deeply about the issue that is not being discussed in this one-sided narrative.  What am I am speaking of?  Let me spell it out with clarity:  if there was such a thing as climate change or global warning you would not expect it to be sporadic due to where on earth you are; therefore, it being burning in place but freezing in another. Rather, what you should find is a more identical in every area; so this would mean that either burning over all in every place; or freezing in every place. Do you see my point?  we are not being told the full truth on the matter but only being told a narrative that has been stitched together to fit someone pre-conceived idea.

Let us think for a moment-- with a clear heads and minds. The people in power have always been out there spinning false narratives based on rather easily proven faulty information.  A clear case of this was to do with the recent episodes of shotting-- whereby we are told that every one was senseless and essentially fit a pattern while in the case of some it was far too easy to see the real point being left out in the reports. And it is not any different here.

Introduction (to this 2022 blog-post.)

Over the last few week we have been in the midst of a "transformative period" with regards to the COP26 (that is the climate change summit); it was put together in order that humanity could be seen as a united whole and to be doing something to change humanity woes. And what is this woe?  Well, it has been claimed by the bigwigs and politicians (and now the schools) that we have done something very bad which has affected the planet. What is that thing?  Once again, it is left undefined simply because they do not have a clue. It is left undefined because that way they can shoehorn anything that they see fit as being reasonable and worthy of labelling as detrimental to everything.

However, the problem that we are being faced with is clear: what are the solutions that they have put forth? Well, one I found very interesting was simply a totalitarian fantasy and that is this: only have one child. Why is this a necessary foundation to this myth? Think for a moment what the last year has shown us if they can control the family at the baseline they can control it in every aspect including whether you are worthy of existing. What better way is there to do this than to force people to go along with their notions that it is better do some rather than nothing. The first step was related to Co-vid and the manipulative tactic; the second step was was to blame the fact of Brexit. And now there is this so climate problem.

In all of this we see the seeds of destruction being sown. Let us consider this whole issue from two perspectives; shall we?

The wrong understanding of this climate change issue!

When a group of people who are so adamant that their position is correct come together to hatch a plan to prevent something such as what is going on. It cannot be helped but to see that they are negating one clear fact.  And that is not what they are claiming to be the case but as we shall see later is actually a sin problem.

Here are the words of British naturalist, sir David Attenborough on the issue:

As we spend the next two weeks debating, negotiation and compromising as we surely must-- it comes down to a single number, the concentration of carbon in the atmosphere, the measure that greatly determining the temperature and the change in that one number is the clearest way to chart our story; for it defines our relationship with our world. for much of humanities ancient history number bounced around wildly between 180-300 and so do the global temperatures. it was a brutal and unpredictable world."

It should obvious that there are a number of problems with this statement which while are important; they will not be mention here at length but simply to point out that this is not what the evidence tells anyone; but simply one of many interpretations of the evidence suggests. Is it wrong or right? we do not know.   But now we need to recognise what lies behind this naturalist assumption which still remains totally unprovable.

First, there is the lie of evolution; or should I say, the consequence of evolution as they have so often trumped as being correct. What do I mean? Well, if evolution is true then caring for the planet and the people in really makes no sense as we are simply random by products of some process which as they suggest is still taking place; and who is to say that this "climate problem" that they are so concerned with is simply a mechanism of this process. But if on the other hand, this climate change is a real thing then it disproves evolution; and in turn itself. For what does evolution suggest at the base of it: the gain of information. But what we are seeing is the resultant reality of the loss of information. nothing more and nothing less.

Now this is not an admission of thinking evolution actually happen because I do not see any basis for such a thing to take place. I am simply using their own foundation to show that what they are looking to achieve is simply impossible if they do hold to this anti-God philosophy.

Second, the underpinning secular atheism; or an anti-theistic position. Now let me say that I am not so much saying that we should care for the planet or other people for we must. But what I want to show is that their position leads one to a destitute position. Why do they believe that there is benefits for what they are telling us to do?  Think for a moment: the atheistic position is not only a denial of God it is a denial of everything that is good according to His standard. But then nothing of what they seek to do is going to do anything because they can't stop what is taking place.

Let us address the elephant in the room: God has instilled the sense of justice for people; and doing what is right. So helping people in need comes from common grace and is necessary because we created in the image of God.

At the end of the day this whole conference only reveals one thing:

For although they knew God, they did not honour him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, (Romans 1:21-22)

The right understanding of this climate change issue!

If the 'climate' is not the true issue that we are dealing with; then the question that needs to be posed is this: what is the at the heart of the issue?  Well, the answer that we can give to this is a simple one: God's decree is being carried in an act of providence. To ensure that we understand this let me put it as clearly as I can. We dealing with the four C's of biblical theology.

First, we have creation as it was originally brought into existence. Think about it for a moment if evolution were true then we would be heading to perfect instead of away from it; and indeed we are experience the very opposite, the very contrary position. In fact, we are in a position whereby perfection is something is presupposed as a past reality. But the secular theory can not boast of such a thing because it leads to an easily refuted position.  The universe and all that in it was created perfected; in fact Genesis 1 tells us that was defined as being "good" a number of times before it was finally declared being "very good" in vs 31. There was at this point no destructive power; no sin or death or destruction in the existence of God creation (vs. 1-27). There was only that which God had created with a perfection to that was not effected by any effects of sin. In verses 28-30 we have the original creational mandate:

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”  And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.

What this proves is this: all the "scientific tests" to determine how bad the climate is have not in any way shown that it has been like that from the beginning. There is no real scientific consensus on this matter all we have been given is the one interpretation of the facts. And in this we see that there are tell-tale signs that it is not even believed by those giving it.

Second, we have the corruption by the fall from perfection.  If there are no naturalist nor evolutionary answers as we know there is not; what, then is the biblical answer? Well there are two parts to the answer: in Genesis 3 after man falls for Satan's lies and became a sinner we are told of the three curses that God inflicted as a punishment (vs. 14-19) This is the first part. And this is a judicial act on God part; it is also a just act. If and when a man falls into sin or commits sin it must out of necessity be dealt with. The second part come a few thousand years later and yet again is a judgement upon man sin which by this time was so out of control that we are told twice "every thought of man's heart were evil continually." (Gen. 6:5; 8:21). In this we see that God's judgement in both cases had severe and long term effect even the planet. And this second one is a history reality which we find further affirmation in the New Testament:

For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. (2 Peter 3: 5-7)

Here we are told two judgement from God. the latter has some relation to what we are facing today as it is a sign that God is going to judge the earth. And no matter what we do to stop this "climate" it wont have any real effect because it has nothing to do with the climate. God's judgement is inevitable and we are too late.

Third, we have the conformity to Christ to be restored. Now while this may not straightforwardly understood by those who are trumping 'climate change';  it is, however, the only solid answer to the real problem that I have out lined. think for a moment: because the above point is true, therefore, the answer one should seek should be to rectify it. First, and foremost: the lives of individuals that God has chosen shall be brought to faith in Christ, and through this  they are brought back to the original standing of the first man before the fall; but also he is given an eternal inheritance. Think about the great chain of redemption in Romans 8:28-30 or even the depictions that given of Christians at the beginning of Ephesians and 1 and 2 Peter. But it can be summed up in these words:

From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Cor. 5:16-21)

In other words, the point to be made is this: you cannot stop God judgements coming upon the earth; there is only one thing that can be done and that is saving yourself from it by turning to Christ.  there is nothing more important than that-- your own place before God being secure in Christ.

Fourth, we have the consummation of everything into glory. The great purpose of  why the climate is so erratic; and there can be no doubting this, it is not only because of us-- that is a part of as we have seen above; But because God is warning of the final judgement to come. However, everything is not at a lost. For we are told that which is now in sinful state will be burned up (Isa. 65; 2 Peter 3:1-6) And in its place there will be a new heaven and earth (revelation Ch. 20-21) It will be great and glorious because God is great and glorious. Man will never fall again because it will be an impossibility. Let us note what we are told in the follow passages:

But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled. Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago. (Acts 3: 18-21)

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.(Eph. 1:7-10)

There can be no doubting what God has planned: he will burn the old way so that sin no longer is present; and will bring into existence the New. These passages which in a most glorious fashion speaks to this truth in terms such as "restoring all things..."  and "unite all thing to him..."  It is a grand thing.

So what must we do? Be about the business of the Kingdom; and not fruitless pledges.
