Questions and Answers

Why can't women take a more active role in the church such as being pastors?  In answering this question, we must recognise that every person in the church has been given a particular gifting which helps to unify and build up the church as a whole. Now on top of this, some might have a string of gifts which work together in the same manner and for the same purpose. And in the case of gift given specifically to men which women should never usurp-- and one such gift is that of men being Pastors and women not being Pastors. It ultimately comes down to being a faithful steward of the gift you have been given; and therefore, it is matter of obedience. Let us note that it is not all men who are given this gift-- it is only some men. The scriptures are clear on the fact that it to something which only men can fulfil; and it is not sign of Paul being sexist or misogynist. Both of these idea come from the mind of a unstable and imbalanced 21st century person. Let us take note of one passa

False teachers, the church has been plagued with them from its very inception. Whether that would a single man that leads people astray and from a cult; or even a single man that leads people to walk away from sound church's-- it has always been the way that the Devil has operated throughout the history of the Christina church.  And why should it be any different now men rise and spew falsehoods: it can be both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it mean false Christian will walk away; and a curse because the church must be prepared to deal with such inconveniences and it is to some degrees woefully unprepared.  But one stands out in the forefront and does just this very thing: James White, in this small but masterful work, takes on another false teacher and his teaching about the church being under God judgement in these last days. He is speaking of Harold Camping who made his teaching between 1994-2001 about how his ministry was the only faithful one which upheld God's

Questions & Answers.

It is time for us to address question that opponents of the Christian Faith have which may seem to produce a hindrance  in them accepting the truth. Let me take up some of the more basic question that Islam has to offer: (1) Who is God? Jesus. Who is Jesus? The Son of God. These question may seem to be genuine for one to ask; but there lies behind it a supposition that is faulty to be begin with. It might even be addressing a Christian who hold to the oneness or Jesus Only position which is not anything to do with either:  (a) the biblical witness;  or (b) a majority of the Christian faith. For in both of these cases the position that is held and is biblical is that God has existed eternal as one being and there are three persons. This reality must be held as the truth in all times and places as has for all true Christian from the beginning.  Let us take these questions and briefly consider them.  No Christian who understands what the doctrine of the Trinity will say that Jesus Christ

Preaching with authority:

If preachers insist on competing with psychiatrists as counsellors, with physicians as healers, with politicians as statesmen and with philosophers as speculators, then these specialists have every right to tell them how to preach.  If a minister’s message is not based on “Thus saith the Lord,” then as a sermon it is good for nothing but to be cast out and trodden under foot of the specialists in the department with which it deals.  John Gerstner

Preaching faithfully.

When the faithful minister is properly exegeting the Word of God, it is God Himself who is speaking to His people! Failure to hear the faithful minister is a failure to hear God Himself! Isn’t that exactly what Jesus told His disciples? “If they won’t listen to you, they won’t listen to Me!” That is why we are not to let anyone disregard us (Titus 2:15), because that would mean that we are letting them disregard Christ! Book Review: How Christianity changed the world!

This book, written by Alvin J. Schmidt,  is a very well written and even more compelling read regarding the history of the church; and how Christianity has impact many different arena of life and living   I would say that it has to be read all the way though as I have done; but if one is interested only in certain areas-- there is no harm in considering those in their own right.  While there certainly are other volumes out there which deal with the subject from a more academic or theological perspective-- this seeks to provide on a more of a layman point of view but still delivering some much needed information on many important areas.  There are two reasons that immediately come into view as to which this is a much needed work:  (1)   it shows us the greatness of the Christian faith; and all that it has done for the betterment of society; even though many are prejudices against for almost superficial reasons. (2) it gives us some of the most balanced reviews on several key points su
