The wickedness of the L.G.B.T and the Government.

It is clear that we Christians are being marginalised by the newest law being put in place which seeks to "eradicate all the conversion therapy work" as the PM has stated recently. However, there is a problem with this; he is too quick to side with those who are rebelling against God. But we need to ask: is this the job of the government to act on behalf of such people by employing their lingo. No. So let us consider this matter little more closely so that we can make clear the solution.

Unidentifiable obstacle on the track.

The most obvious thing that stands out is that what has been put forth as a problem is in reality a solution. the ideal of "conversion therapy" comes not from any legitimate source; but from a source which is already compromised by sinful rebellion.  In other words, it is a term that the sexual revolutionary has put to a long held tradition in the Christian faith which is Christian counselling. Now let me make it clear: it has one sole intention and that is to help newly converted as well as mature Christians deal with all kinds of sin that they are having trouble combatting. I repeat the key phrase: newly converted as well as mature Christians. there is no sinister motive when it practiced according to scriptural norms. There is no reason for unbelievers to have contact unless they are married to a Christian which is very rare but it does happen.

The 1st book of Corinthians gives a picture where the church members have fallen into many sinful practice: sexual sin and non sexual sin. In these cases, it would be a vital measure to seek faithful Christian counselling to deal with these matters. There is nothing more frightening than when a totalitarian mob squad deems something to inappropriate for these times; it is very easy to understand Francis Shaeffer's warning from long ago which I put out in the week. He said: "No totalitarian authority nor authoritarian state can tolerate those who have an absolute by which to judge that state and its actions.”  That is rather fitting for our conversation. They operate on a subjective standard in all they do; and are so wedded to this perversion that they can tell when they are in error.

The church has been given one mandate to "make disciple of all nations" and apart of that process is to ensure they know what it is to be a Christian. And how to deal with sin our lives. The Apostle Paul said:

Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks that he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting, but to himself alone, and not to another.  For each one will bear his own load. (Galatians 5)

And so we read how the Christian community is to come together when a fellow Christian is struggling with sin. They are to act as Christian counsellors who are aiming to achieve a most important goal; and that is to ensure the Christians victory over sin in their lives. That is Christian love. Let note the matter before us is a very serious one; and it may look like the Government is doing something good and acceptable. But it not so clear in there own words. But what we do know can be understood from these words of Francis Shaeffer: "At that point the words left or right will make no difference. They are only two roads to the same end. There is no difference between authoritarian government from the right or the left: the results are the same.”  And what point is it he is speaking of: that time when they have full submission and control. Then left and right will be nothing more than illusions because it is all the same.

 And know this, we must not surrender. And here is why:

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law (Galatians 5: 16-18)

Do you see the point? I hope you do because for the Christian to give in to this pressure is for us be blinded by a nonsense term. It is a battle within a larger war. Let us not be manipulated. It is not like they have not already admitted this much in saying it is a "complex issue." Why is it such a complex issue; because you are allowing yourselves to be carried along by nothing but folly.

 Straw-man set in the sands.

So how does the enemy deal with the issue? what strategy do he come up with? It is the same one he used in the garden. It worked then and it still works now. He subtly drives a wedge between God and his creature by suggestion. His words are simple: "Did God really say that. " In other words, you're to wise to fall for that kind of thing. You are one of the modern thinkers who needs not be trapped by that kind of reasoning. And so it is born: a manipulation is introduced into the mix and here it is: 'you know let us start a smear campaign against Christians... we can do it by infiltration and manipulation. we can say that they are trying convert us by means of some nefarious means.'  But in reality they are being led into a far more dangerous deceit.

Think for a moment a moment about this issue when you read the following statement which puts it in perspective:

Our society under the prince of the power of the air has two objectives. Objective number one is destroy the moral law so that the conscience is misinformed. Train people against what is innately the law that is in their hearts when they’re born, give them a new morality, not the morality of the Bible, not God’s law. We want people not to think biblically. We want them freed from that so we’ll construct another morality that will pour that into their lives through every means possible. That’s destructive. And then the second thing that society wants to do orchestrated by the enemy of your souls is to tell you that your conscience is a liar. That what’s wrong with you isn’t sin, it’s a lack of…self-esteem. It isn’t that you’re bad; it’s that you’re good and you need to think better of yourself… The guilty conscience isn’t healthy, it shouldn’t be tolerated, switch it off.

And, of course,  John MacArthur is correct in this assessment of the society. but what is worse, there is a clear case of hypocrisy in many parts:  (1) they put forth this idea that it is okay to be whatever you desire to be because it does not hurt any one; and they will seek to malign anyone who calls out the blatant lie in the mire. (2) but in the end, they do not live consistently because they do not believe what they are advocating.  I mean let us think this trough by considering the words of the PM last month. he said: "I think this practice is repulsive  and I think it is abhorrent...."  Those are very strong terms to use regarding something which is "technically complex to deal with" which is another way to say we do not know what we are dealing with. But for a moment lets say they do: we must ask: does he actually believe this? Or is he simply saying this to be seen doing something in order butter up to the people he is trying to win over? Because, to me, it does not seem all that straightforward.

 By what standard is he and other operating from? we do not know.

A wicked deception is in the air

In the bid for supremacy the sexual revolution has infected the government with such    ferocity; that it is unbelievable. And it is nothing but sheer deceit. think about the following quote: "being told to pray harder to change and to question your inner most feelings and thoughts, none of that should be legal."  And then we are later told:  "but a gay man or women attends church, comes to faith, and seeks help in following Christ's teaching on sexual ethics."  What a minute! Do you see the problem that is being created in these statements? No. let me point it out: are they allowed to seek help such what the faith offers or not? in one statement we are told such a thing should be illegal  (outlawed) and then in the other it should be accepted and practiced. These kinds of statement are nothing more than flat out contradictions.

But this proves an axiom: if you leave an unbeliever long enough they will hang themselves on their illogical processes. And that is what is taking place here since they do not know what they are dealing with, it is as the PM says "it is a complex issue." It may well be a non-existent issue.

One who justifies the wicked and one who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord. (Proverbs 17: 15)

And then this one as well:

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
And clever in their own sight!  (Isaiah 5:20-21)

This is precisely what the government are guilty of in what they have been seeking to establish by normalising things which are abomination before god; and given credence to all kinds of rebellious activity.  There is no such thing as transitioning and transgenderism; what we are dealing the blatant destruction of what god designed and called into being. A man is a man and woman is a woman. Nothing more nor less. The government will be called to account for their hand in this mass- abomination. consider the above words from the bible carefully.

 The moral absolutes rest upon God’s character. The moral commands He has given to men are an expression of His character. Men as created in His image are to live by choice on the basis of what God is. The standards of morality are determined by what conforms to His character, while those things which do not conform are immoral.  (Francis Shaeffer)

And so we see the trajectory of this madness. let us be sure to understand it for what it is: a moral abyss. It is just we read in the following statement:

If there is no absolute moral standard, then one cannot say in a final sense that anything is right or wrong. By absolute we mean that which always applies, that which provides a final or ultimate standard. There must be an absolute if there are to be morals, and there must be an absolute if there are to be real values. If there is no absolute beyond man’s ideas, then there is no final appeal to judge between individuals and groups whose moral judgements conflict. We are merely left with conflicting opinions.” (Francis Shaffer)

The deception is apparent. There is a clear danger in all of this; but what is very clear is that people either do not see it or they are aware of it but simply choose to ignore it. And we who are giving the clear warning against it are the ones who face the backlash of hate-fill mongering from those who are wedded to it: do I need to repeat those words from the PM from above? Maybe I do: "it is abhorrent and repulsive"  And simply ask: from where does he seek justification for this statement? I see none.

 What, therefore, can we do?

In light of this blatant misdirection by the sexual revolutionaries regarding the Christian practice of counselling which helps all Christians; new and seasoned to over come sinful acts and attitude that God deems as being ungodly. The question that needs to be posed at this time is this: what, therefore, can we do to remedy this situation? is there a biblical answer to this conundrum? Yes-- I believe there is one. Let us now turn to a three part answer:

(1) find comfort in the goodness of God the Father. Let us take note of what we are told in these words from Psalm 89: 16-17:

Turn to me, and be gracious to me;
Grant Your strength to Your servant,
And save the son of Your maidservant.
Show me a sign of good,
That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed,
Because You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

Now here is the point: all those who are struggling in their sin as Christians; we must be sure to understand that we have divinely revealed comfort. Are there times when you feel hurt from the enormity of sin? Do you wish that you could be free from the burden? Only when you turn to God and fully trust in his goodness and his promises will you find that sweet release. that is, of course, what he has made clear He will do for those He has given to His Son.

(2)  find rest in the wonder of God the Son. Let us come before the scriptures with a heart that desires this. In Matthew 11:28-29 we are told:

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

It is so important that the Christ has this rest that He repeats it: he says and i will give you rest" (vs 28c) and then "you will find rest" (vs 29c) but he adds a qualifier to that last statement  "for your souls." Now ,of course,  he may well be quoting the Old testament at that point. But nonetheless, it is still very true. The Christian has this eternal rest for his soul; and it starts on this side of eternity. What a great and glorious thing for us all to be apart of.

 (3) find strength in the power of God the Spirit. Let us consider the words found in the following words. In Ephesians 3:15-16 we are told:

from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self

Now any Christian should have absolute confidence in their victory over sin in their lives. Paul tells us that is by the work of the Spirit who strengthens us. And we learn that it has no hold nor control over us internally; for it is just as Martyn Lloyd Jones states in regards to sin: "it is a nuisance."  Let us be clear: with the help of the Spirit and the right thinking we can be experience freedom. And this is where the matter of good scriptural counselling is so vital.
