A Deadly Attack On The Family.

 

The biblical concept and reality of a family is a most precious blessing. Now it must be said that it does mean they are perfect for none are due to being in world that is full of people in the same boat as them sinners. But still what we have is precisely what God had intended for the family: a husband (a man) and a wife (a woman) and if it is a possible for them; they may have a family (boys and girls). This is the clear pattern which true history and true theology has always held to be what defines what we all already know and participate in. The question of how do we know this to be the case, we must allow Christ re-affirmation of the creational reality being the only one that exists and defines mankind: "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female.'(Matt. 19:4) So, therefore, by any classification there is only two genders and two sexes which make up all humanity; and even makes up every family unit.  Jesus, being whom he is, the one who created all things has the right to define and defend his proposition; and He does so by appealing to the Divine Word. There we read:

Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.” So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Gen. 1:26-28)

It appears that we are living in a very dangerous time when all sense of rational thinking has been replaced with a more pragmatic thinking; and therefore, we are being told not what is right for the family but what works for the family must be true. This means an objective standard has replaced with a subjective and ever changing opinion.  And these words by John MacArthur have never rung more truer: "The politicians are on the side of Satan, busy making laws to protect the very realities that destroy children and families."  What needs to be done is that we need to wake up and see just where destructive tendency is leading us. But instead the culture is on downward spiral. 

The governmental strike on family.

The first stage in this war comes from the government who has been intruding in on the family structure for far too long; and the latest evidence of this can be found in the fact they are will to force parent to raise their children with immoral values such as acceptance of transgenderism. even to the point that they will sanction a father or mother who opposes this new thinking when the child is not allowed to transition. The obvious question have avoided; and one's feeling have been left to determine reality. When it comes to the truth of the situation, facts do not care for feeling and why should the court determine a case based on feelings. Did a case ever come to court based on ones said feelings: "you judge i just feel that he was one who done this to me." That does not bring any real closure.

Let us note how this plays out, a girl takes her father to court for not allowing her to transition and the court instead of doing what it should of by throwing out the case based on it being foolish. we are told: 

The B.C. Supreme Court sided with the boy in an earlier decision, saying he didn’t need his father’s consent. The father was also served with an injunction that warned any attempt to pressure his son to abandon treatment was a form of family violence. In a decision posted Friday, the B.C. Court of Appeal said the father, while entitled to his beliefs, cannot interfere with his son’s decision and said the boy is mature enough to pursue transition treatment on his own.   “[The father’s] refusal to respect [the boy’s] decisions regarding his gender identity is troublesome,” Chief Justice Robert Bauman and Justice Barbara Fisher wrote in the decision. 

Not only do we have a child rebelling again their parents a sure sign that this day and age are in serious jeopardy. for they are being "disobedient to parents" (Romans 1: 30; 2 Timothy 3:2). It is hard to understand this kind of thought. Why does this child need to be completely against her father like this? And even more importantly, why is this court official who has been appointed by God to do what is good and right supporting this action? Very important questions indeed I may say.  Another problem is said in these words: "the fathers refusal to respect the boys decision is troublesome." Now note I am only quoting. But let me be clear: it is not the courts place; never was and never will be, to decide how a father raises his daughter. And that is what she is. And even though you say "the boys"  and "his" you and I both know this kind of destruction and reconstruct never will mean that this girl is a boy. 

Now I said above that there are obvious questions that should be ask in this situation and one is this: how does a girl even know what it is to be a boy? (and that can be reversed) There simply is no evidence that she ever did or ever will. Here I believe one pastor in a recent sermon put it in very succinct manner:

Children are under a relentless assault by all the forces of evil, and they are defenceless. And we have a society and a culture that wants to make sure that these who are pumping out this destruction are free to keep doing it without restraint. Children are defenceless when their parents sell them to a human trafficker who drops them eight to ten feet over a wall into Sodom and Gomorrah all by themselves—or when the Disney Corporation creates characters that are transgender to seduce children into accepting wickedness as normal, or when parents insanely offer their children gender identity options.

Of course, we can see the evidence of that assessment before our eyes.  In fact, the bible make a whole point that children are nothing but a treasure to us. And God devoted several chapter to making us know this in the book of Proverbs. The book of wisdom. In this work we see that both the Father and Mother are to have a divinely mandated charge. We are told: Hear, my son, your father's instruction and do not forget your mothers teaching." (1:8; 2:1; 3:1; 4:1, 10, 20; 5:1, 7; 6:1, 20 to give a few examples) The bible makes it clear that the family is where the children are to be given sound instruction through their parents. question: would this judge above be okay for some other person to decide how he should raise his child if it were the same situation? I do not think so.  

 The ideological strike on the family

Now one may ask: what is the core reason behind this shift in how the government is acting against the family? there is one one answer to that question: it is an ideology of death known as LGBT. This movement has one goal in view and that is to replace what they called the 'traditional family' with something more akin to what they regard as a family which consists entirely of a perverse understanding. And the plan is a simple one: to get people to bend to their will as young as possible so that the milieu can be transformed to match their vision of things. And so one way that this is being done is to educate people far earlier than is require so as to counter the parents position of authority. The American president, in order to do this, has made it clear from the age of 3-17 will be when he seeks for children be educated. But now this runs into a serious issue: children will only be taught what to think what is acceptable; and not how to think whether something is morally good and right.  And this is how this perversion will be inoculated into the children.

So let us consider what the scriptures have to tell us on this matter; we shall consider one key passage Romans 1 which starts with these vital words: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth in unrighteousness..." (vs. 18)  Let us note that "God's wrath;"  His pending judgement is being revealed continually upon those who are identified as being both ungodly and unrighteous. That is to say that they are sinning before and towards both God and men. And these people are doing something. what is that thing? They are "suppressing" or holding down the truth. One could say that by doing this they are rejecting the truth too. And they are doing this activity in unrighteousness. what a thought! This is such a wicked activity. Now the problem is clear: they are under judgement and rightly so. Now let us ask what is this truth? Are we given any information? Yes.

In the next section we have the answer: "because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse." (vs. 19-20)  It is evident that man in his rebellion has pushed aside all the knowledge that he has been given by God out of grace concerning His existence. And is therefore without excuse. Now everything that follows can be traced back to the fact of creation. We can see that are three results which spring forth from this initial reject by mankind (1) idolatry (verses 21-25); (2) sexual immorality (26-27); (3) sedition (vs. 28-32) And it is important to note that all three of these are clearly definable realities in this ideology. Let us note something that is very disheartening and that is that it has religious counterpart as well which goes against what the scriptures clearly prohibit.

Let us take note of the midsection, Romans 1: 26-27:  

For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature, and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

Not only does this teach one specific truth about genders that it is binary in nature: male and female. But more importantly, we see that there is only God ordained and God honouring union within God's creation is a male and a female in a marital covenant. All other expression are simply perversions whether it is gender relation or relational. And yet, this very basic truth is what is being denied and rejected out of hand, by these revolutionaries.  The following words from Proverbs 6:16-19 sum up this whole issue perfectly:

There are six things that the Lord hates,
Seven that are an abomination to Him:

Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
And hands that shed innocent blood,
 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that run rapidly to evil,
 A false witness who declares lies,
And one who spreads strife among brothers. (Prov. 6:16-19)

Now we all know what lies are: do we not? It is when someone maliciously and intentionally states something which is not true. That is the issue that we are dealing with here when someone "supresses the truth in unrighteousness" they are knowingly communicating something which is not in line with scriptures as if it were scripturally consistent. But even worse, we see that they are being supported in that error and even derive emotional commitment from it. It is at this point that because they are so wedded to this idealism that God judicially gives them up to it so that they can be swallowed by it (Romans 1: 24; 26; 28)

 The false theological attack on the family

Let me ask: what happens when this infection starts to invade the church? well, you get the liberal agenda that is evident in much of apostate churches such as Church of England; liberal Anglican dominations; and thee liberal Lutheran and Presbyterian denominations where such perversion of the family are thought to be holy and acceptable today. But the reality of all of this is clear: it is an abomination which must be dealt with and eradicated from the churches. Here is a sampling of what I refer too: a Transgender person is made a bishop in the evangelical Lutheran church. the church of England falls to the sexual revolution when it come moral teaching. And so, we see what is becoming more and more prevalent. Where a church once stood stand for what it upheld as being a biblical ethic; it is now succumbing to the whims of a societal change which can sustain itself. 

But now let us take note of what the scriptures teach us on what is a Christian ethic: 

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Cor. 6:9-11)

A Christian is someone, who according to this description,  cannot identified by any of these activities which once defined their life prior to them becoming a new creature in Christ (vs 9-10) which we are told is "but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." (vs 11b) This goes for both the Pastor(s) and those who are in the congregation. All have been taken out of a life of darkness and are not in the light as we are told "and such were some of you." (11a) That is to say, that you who are Christians are to live a life which reflect Christ and not the world; you are His people; His flock. And only He has the right to define an ethic that you and I are to live by and be identified by. You opinion is no longer valid.

 And as family is at the heart of God's creative and redemptive purposes: both in the natural family and the spiritual family. We have seen the latter in the above statement but one can think of the words in Colossians 3:12-17 and 1 Peter 2: 9-12; because these passages speak of what the spiritual family is. But it is spelled out in one phrase in these words "a people for God own possession." (1 Pt. 2:9d) But even the natural and biological family is central to what God is doing since it is the first institution that he brought into existence; His first covenant based unity if you will.  And here is how He established it to exist in the realms of time and space with regards to humanity:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honour your Father and Mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), so that it my be well with you, and you may live long on the earth. Fathers do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Eph. 6:1-4)

Do you see the point: Parents are to be binary; that is, male and female. And the family unit is to be a Father and Mother; and their child (or more than 1). There is the biblical position which comes from God; and therefore, it is the authority on all it speaks upon.  And this is just one one such topic. It is so important that God communicates it once more time in these words from the same apostle:

wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them. Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord. Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart.  (Col. 3:18-21)

It is such a foundation to everything else that the apostle has to repeat his basic point in these above words. Family is everything to the Lord that bring a most important barrier for the child's grow and protection; and if it were not there, then we would have no stability at all. Now the point is clear: in the context of the church life both concepts of family are so intricately related that in some fundamental ways it cannot be separated. And it is very wonderful to note that because this is true that if anything which can put a child's life in harms way (including governmental destruction know sex-ops). It bring God wrath upon those who perpetrate such abominations. The Lord said this:

Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” And He laid His hands on them and departed from there. (Matt. 19: 13-15)

Did you take note of the fact that the Lord rebuke the disciple because they hindered these women from bring there children to Him? Well, in another place he said this: "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matt. 18:3) To use children as an illustration for a deeper truth reveals something of His character and purpose. But more than that, it shows that He valued all life including children; even to the point of saying one of the most harsh thing against those who hurt them "it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea." (Matt. 18:6) There is only one conclusion: anyone advocating such abomination against a child is no better than a murderer.

  A few parting comments

How can man so radical mess with what it is to be human: that is to say, male is male and female is female. you were created with the genetics which define you as what your are. I said it before: feeling do not determine truth and reality; but truth and reality determine feelings. Only a woman knows what it is to be a woman; and only a man knows what it is to be a man.  Our feelings do not matter. Let us close with these point in our thinking:

(1) family is a creational reality defined by God.

(2) family is societal foundation that strengthens it.

(3) family a redemptive model for the faithful believer.
