I n proverbs 16:18, we are told: "Pride  goes  before destruction, a nd a haughty spirit before stumbling." These words perfectly describe what happens when a particular sin is given free reign; it morphs into world-wide deception. Sin is sin; no matter how you dress the matter to suit someone else's personal desire. What we get from this is a defiance of an absolute. it is in the words of another man greatly used by God, they 'call good evil; and evil good'. (Isaiah 5:22) And what is worse happens to be the fact that it is being forced upon everyone else even if that person disagrees with the whole concept; such a person is called all kinds of thing simply for holding on to their convictions and standing for the truth. let us now brief take note of what it is we are talking about.   A Christian ethical system defined  The hardened atheist will make much a song and dance out of the fact that they do not view the Christian  ethic as superior to their own. It has been said on occasion by various out spoken ones that there is nothing worse than the ethical system which the Holy Triune God has set before us in His Holy Word:      "You do not need religion to be a good and morally acceptable person. we are our moral compass."       And so the Atheist will tout something similar to this thought. While not intending to refute this statement; but simply to show the thinking of most Atheists on this point is pretty similar in nature. I would say that they can be very upstanding most of the time. But this is not the point. The truth is that we not dealing morality for moralities sake; but the true morality or the Christian ethic over against a pragmatic ever changing ideal that can not be justified in any sense.   The biblical concept and reality of a family is a most precious blessing. Now it must be said that it does mean they are perfect for none are due to being in world that is full of people in the same boat as them sinners. But still what we have is precisely what God had intended for the family: a husband (a man) and a wife (a woman) and if it is a possible for them; they may have a family (boys and girls). This is the clear pattern which true history and true theology has always held to be what defines what we all already know and participate in.   Abandoned by the Church  A chaplain who gave a sermon on the biblical position on Transgenderism who subsequently was arrested and labelled as "a terrorist" which of course, happens to be complete nonsense. He has been abandoned by the arch-bishop of Canterbury. This reveals a serious problem within the church of England that it can abandon a chaplain; therefore, by showing just how far it has fallen over the last century. Let me just say that at this point it is starting to ring true in terms of all that the faithful man of the past when they said that this trajectory had been evident to them (JC Ryle; Charles Spurgeon and Martyn Lloyd- Jones).
